FY 2002 EPA Office of Research and Development
1st and 2nd Quarter awards nominations.
NTEU Chapter 280 participates in the review of monetary and honor awards
recommendations in many program offices across the headquarters of the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency. For several years the union has been urging a
more public disclosure of information on awards once they are approved and
given. More public disclosure is consistent with the Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA), 5 CFR 293.311, which covers availability of information about employees
thus:
- 1. Name
- 2. Present and past position titles and occupational series
- 3. Present and past Grades
- 4. Present and past annual salary rates (including performance awards or
bonuses, incentive awards, merit pay amount, Meritorious or Distinguished
Executive ranks, and allowances and differentials;….continues
Although the information provided here is not generated by the union, we are
pleased to comply with the spirit of the FOIA in making it available.
